Getting married in Tobago is
easy & stress-free. Here's what you need to know to get a
Special Marriage License under the recently amended Marriage
Act (1996):
* Both of you must be non-residents
of Trinidad and Tobago
* Three days' residence in the country must be established (calculated
from the day after the date of arrival)
* The following documents must be produced:
* passport and airline tickets (for proof of residence)
* passport (for proof of identity)
* If divorced, original or notarized copy of degree absolute
* If widowed, original death certificate of spouse. Notarized
English translation if not in English.
* If name differs on documents, deed poll or other proofs of
name change
The marriage license costs
TT$337.50 (US$55), which is payable in cash or in postage stamps
obtainable from the General Post Office. Apply for your marriage
license at one of the following offices:
