| Meet Our Staff |
 |
< Porridge, our guest relations manager, will
meet you at the airport, help you
with your luggage and provide a rental car or a ride in his van
to Paradise Point.
You can identify him by his warm smile, but since many Tobagonians
exhibit this
trait we have his picture below. Along the way Porridge will
stop so that you can
pick up the essential groceries for you first days at the villa.
Porridge can also
organize outings to local attractions, such as a fishing trip
or a trip to Scarborough.

< Gemma
provides house keeping for both
villas and will do laundry and cooking for fee at local rates.
|
 |
< Ital,
whose name means "natural food." Maintains the gardens,
the nature trail and the villas. Ital and his son Mose take care
of the tropical plants and property with the same care and love
that all the staff exhibit toward our guests

of Villa Interiors:
Sitting and Dining Rooms
The sitting rooms and dining rooms in both villas are situated
for indoor/outdoor living, each with French doors opening onto
a large terraces with a spectacular view. Rooms have handsome
wooden louvers that bring in fresh tropical breezes (or they
can be shut for air-conditioned comfort). Overhead Casablanca
or Maui Bay tropical leaf fans provide circulation whether the
rooms are left open or closed. Enjoy the comfortable seating
area with its couches or loveseats, chairs, and local art.
Bedrooms & Baths
Each bedroom is air conditioned and has an artistic ceiling design,
overhead fans, ample closets, and distinctive locally designed
four-poster beds complete with tropical-style mosquito netting
for a touch of romance. Beds are queen size in the Bamboo and
Seaside apartments and the Rainforest studio. The Robison Crusoe
studios have a full size double bed in each of the bedrooms.
Egyptian cotton sheets add comfort & luxury to the beds &
the beautiful batik bedspreads were designed by talented local
artists. You'll find ample soft towels, a custom-designed double
vanity & a glass-doored walk-in showers.
Kitchens & Breakfast Bars
Each villa has a fully equipped kitchen replete with outdoor
breakfast/bar counter & stools, 5-burner gas stove &
oven, microwave, toaster, blender, coffeemaker, dishwasher, large
refrigerator, & cabinets stocked with everything you'll need,
such as glassware, dishes, cookware, & utensils. The kitchens,
which adjoin the sitting rooms and the dining rooms, have spacious
breakfast bars that open onto outdoor seating and sensational
vistas that sweep across Castara Bay and the rainforest - perfect
places to enjoy morning bird watching and a late afternoon rum
punch.
Mini Bars
Robinson Crusoe and Rainforest studios have small, but well equipped

toaster, coffeemaker, blender, and plenty of dishes, cookware,

Indoor/Outdoor
Living:
Tropical Breezes
Because both villas are located facing north on a scenic overlook,
there are almost always refreshing tropical breezes to cool the
afternoons and evenings. Watching the rises or sunsets from the
Great Deck or the terraces
alone or while liming with friends provides an experience that
defines the Caribbean way of life. The night-time view of the
stars takes your breath away.
The Terraces
French doors in the sitting room and dining room open onto large
terraces
equipped with tables for dining, deck chairs and hammocks. The
terraces are covered by roofs for protection from the sun and
the occasional rain shower. Paradise Point Villa has two fountains
amidst tropical plants on the wrap around terrace. The terraces
of Hanging Gardens Villa feature plants and flowering vines that
attract a variety of colorful birds.
The Great Deck
Landscaped steps lead from the car park to the 2,000 sq. ft.
Great
Deck, which is guaranteed to take your breath away. Two flying
staircases on either side of the deck swing dramatically down
to the living area of Paradise Point Villa. A short walkway and
a few steps lead to Hanging Garden Villa.
Support Areas
The large carpark is unobtrusively located below road level with
space for 3 cars or so; the shoulder
above will accommodate a few others, as well. The laundry room,
equipped with modern washer & dryer, is located at the base
of the Hanging Garden structure.
Natural Areas
Waterfall Trail through Bird Valley
Rivaling our unparalleled Caribbean views in its uniqueness,
the Waterfall Trail through Bird Valley is a private and secluded,
gently landscaped path echoing with birdsong that begins just
steps from the base of the Villa and wends along a riverbed through
a pair of majestic waterfalls and the pools formed by them all
the way down to the sea. There's nothing else like it {diagram}
From the Villa, a landscaped
switchback trail
leads deep through the hillside to the serenity of the 35-ft.-high
Mystic
Falls. It's a great place to bring a picnic. From there,
the trail continues down a riverine path towards the sea. Tucked
away along the trail is Lover's
Pool, perfectly sized for two-an unabashedly romantic setting
for spending time together. Further along is the roaring Sea
Falls, which affords an awe-inspiring vista of the sea below
and the water
wooshing through the rocks.
For the courageous, a descent to the sea is possible.
